Former Rhino Bill Sedgewick finally signed with the Montreal Impact. This was a move that was rumored during the offseason, but never happened. But, at the roster freeze deadline, it finally came to pass.

Montreal also picked up Hicham Aaboubou from the CSL's Laval Dynamites.

Portland added a couple of players last week

The Timbers picked up midfielder Mike Chalaba who had been with the Houston Dynamo for most of the 2006 season and forward Yuri Morales who had played for two years in Denmark and was coming off a trial with DC United.

Both players played a full ninety minutes for the Timbers in their scoreless draw in Toronto on Saturday. Portland was really short bodies in that match as they only had 13 field players and 2 goalkeepers on their gameday roster for the match.

Congrats to Jamil Walker

Rochester native Jamil Walker scored in the 93rd minute last night to give DC United a 2-1 win over the Columbus Crew in the 4th round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

While Jamil is known for his speed, this time he was able to get on the end of a Christian Gomez free kick and nod it home.

In the quarterfinals, DC United will host the winner of tonight's game between the New York Red Bulls of MLS and the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL 2nd Division.
