The Rhinos women fell to Toronto 4-0 last night in the season opener at PAETEC Park last evening.

Toronto jumped out to a 2-0 lead after only 3 minutes of play and the Rhinos were unable to get anything past 2006 W-League Goalkeeper of the Year Justine Bernier.

Peter Amos' squad tested Bernier as the Rhinos outshot the visitors, but even when they were able to get one past the Lynx keeper, there was a Lynx defender on the post off a first half corner.

The biggest ovation game in the second half when 15 year old forward Brittany Kinmond entered the match for Leslie-Ann James. Kinmond almost scored in the 88th minute as she broke through on Bernier, but her shot was pushed wide of the post by the Lynx keeper to preserve the shutout.

The Rhinos next match is Saturday night as they host the Hamilton Avalanche.
