The sixth overall selection in the 2007 USL College Draft is now in camp with the Rhinos.

Former University of New Hampshire and Cape Cod Crusader goalkeeper Brian Levey has joined the Rhinos as they prepare for the 2007 USL 1st Division season at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.

Levey is holds multiple UNH goalkeeping records and finished the 2006 season ranked 9th in the nation in goals against average.

Levey was drafted by the Atlanta Silverbacks with the 6th pick of the 2007 USL Draft and has spent time in camp with the New York Red Bulls and Virginia Beach Mariners this offseason. He was also a teammate of Rhinos 2007 draftee PJ Scheufele with Cape Cod of the PDL.

The Rhinos will take on the Montreal Impact today in their fourth match of the preseason.

Decision on the future of the Virginia Beach Mariners expected today

The Virginian-Pilot

Frustration is mounting amongst the Mariners players and staff, but the USL is expected to make a decision today on what will happen with the club given the uncertain ownership situation that has arisen over the past week or so.

With their April 13th season opener versus Rochester getting closer by the day, it will be very interesting to see what the league does in this very delicate situation.

Guatemala opted to play an ugly game and try get either a scoreless draw or a 1-0 win at Pizza Hut Park versus the US and they were able to get the former last evening.

I guess the game can be best summed up by the fact that the ticker on ESPNews didn't even mention the game last night or this evening. Heck, I taped the game because I was busy last night and I don't even know if I want to subject myself to 90 minutes of punt and run against a bunkered down team.

Up next is China on June 2nd in San Jose in the USMNT's final friendly ahead of the Gold Cup.

Michael Lewis calls for Bob Bradley to lose the interim tag

I believe the argument still holds, even after last night's draw.

Forget the allure of a "big name" European coach. At a minimum, let Bob Bradley lead this team through the Gold Cup and Copa America and then make a decision.

For all the people in Rochester that love to hate on MLS

The Oregonian

Apparently MLS commissioner Don Garber recently took a tour of PGE Park, home of the USL's Portland Timbers, and was talking about whether an MLS expansion team would work in Portland.

Whatever happened to needing a SOCCER specific stadium to join MLS and that MLS would never share a stadium with a baseball team, especially a minor league baseball team?

All I can say to Rhino fans that want MLS to come to PAETEC Park is buy your MegaMillions tickets..............

TFC 2 - NYRB 1

Toronto FC got goals from Alecko Eskandarian and former Red Bull forward Edson Buddle to defeat the New York Red Bulls in the Carolina Challenge Cup in Charleston, SC. Both Toronto goals were set up by former FC Dallas playmaker Ronnie O'Brien.

The victory had to be sweet for both Johnston and Buddle given their recent history in New York. Greg Sutton sealed the victory with a penalty save on NY's Dave van den Bergh.
