Sean Johnson had the Bill Buckner moment that cost the US the chance to move on to the knockout stage.

Juan Agudelo going down with a knee injury versus Cubs certainly didn't help.

But, this edition of the US U-23 MNT should have had enough talent to not be in the position for one bad play to cost them the chance to move on. The fact that the US lost 2-0 to a Canada squad that struggled in their two other matches was really the game that cost the US the chance to advance.

It will be interesting to see how this failure affects the stock of certain players, especially captain Freddy Adu and Brek Shea.

But, now the USWNT will have to carry the US Soccer banner alone in London.
