Sam's got a new title as he has been promoted to the President of Business Operations for the Rhinos.

I know some people are wondering what this means for Matthew Ford who is the Rhinos President and General Manager, but I have yet to hear anything changing on that side of the Rhinos business.

And I'll echo Devo's take on the news.

Sam has busted his hump for the Rhinos and this promotion was earned through hard work and Sam's love of soccer, Rochester,  and the Rhinos.

Match day discussion

Rob Clark has posted on Rochester Sports Fan.com and Rhinos Zone.com is asking what fans think about Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon games.

Personally, I think the weather will be too hot on most Saturday afternoons for the quality of play to be all that great. Especially in a league that doesn't play once a week.

Wednesday evenings migth be OK as long as it's after school is done and there aren't any major youth or adult leagues playing on Wednesday nights.

News & Notes:

- A Montreal Impact article on Rhinos Soccer.com?!?!?!?!?!?!

- Jeff Bradley breaks out his MLS First XI on MLSNet.com. Landon Donovan and Kenny Cooper were the only American attacking players to make the list.

- Steve Davis at MLSNet.com says that a steady hand best steers the ship.

- Could Montreal replace Philadelphia as the 2010 expansion team for MLS?????? Although, there is some good news on the business side of the Philly group apparently.

- TIAS.com has an interview with Rush Soccer President Tim Schutz. Rush Soccer currently has 20 clubs with over 30,000 players. The interesting piece is how they want an MLS team under their brand!
